On Tuesday evening, February 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision at the intersection of Long Neck Road, Indian Mission Road and John J. Williams Highway. The results of the incident included the collision of a two door Jeep CJ vehicle and a four door Ford sedan causing multiple front and side airbag activation in the sedan.

It was reported that each vehicle was occupied by multiple persons that were evaluated and transported to nearby medical facilities.

Emergency response personnel were requested to take defensive apparatus placement measures and to assist with vehicle stabilization, fluid recovery and vehicle debris clean-up methods. The Delaware State Fire Police were requested to restrict the traffic flow patterns on all routes through the intersection with minimal detours for all traffic patterns on John J. Williams Highway.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the specific traffic patterns of each vehicle as well as the overall vehicle collision.
