Nature: Brush Fire

On Saturday morning, June 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for brush fire in the area of West Waters Edge Trail off Green Road.  It was reported via boater and did not know the exact location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80 and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response units were requested to suppression and saturate the area as a result of an earlier fire left unattended.

Upon arrival of emergency response units, it was identified to be an area along the waters edge that was burning.  It appears that an earlier recreational fire was left and may have ignited the area. The entire area was saturated to prevent further concern.

All emergency response units were allowed to return to their respective quarters upon completion of their assignments.
