Leisure Point Hosts Risk Reduction Initiative – Long Neck

On Saturday, June 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to attend a Community Risk Reduction Initiative to highlight Fire Safety; Fire Prevention; Wildfire Risk Reduction, Summer Safety Tips, Campfire Safety Tips, and Marina & Boating Safety discussions.  This First Responder Presentation was hosted by Leisure Point Resorts - https://www.sunrvresorts.com/resorts/mid-atlantic/delaware/leisure-point-resort/   

The Fire Prevention Cohort from Indian River provided a demonstration of fire extinguisher usage, water can usage, fire suppression hose handling and spraying exercises for participants, as well as a fire prevention booth with educational and informational hand-outs for Fire Safety & Fire Prevention Topics which included but not limited to:

Approximately 156 persons attended the day’s events which included approximately 80 children who had actual hands-on experience with fire extinguisher fire suppression activities, fire suppression hose handling and spraying activities, and much more.
