Nature: Indian River Duty Crew Activities

Location: Long Neck Facility

On Saturday, March 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated a duty crew with specific assignments to be coordinated and performed at the Station #2 – Long Neck facility and immediate area.

The Duty Crew assignments included (1) Apparatus and Facility cleaning, (2) Apparatus Hose Repacking , (3) Firefighter familiarization with designated equipment; and (4) Incident Response.

The Duty Crew participants coordinated the following activities:

(1) Apparatus and Facility Cleaning tasks were coordinated at the Long Neck location with the cleaning and reviewing of the Station #2 apparatus and making sure all units were fully equipped and operational.  The facility cleaning exercise was the coordination and restoration of the building in preparation of pending agreements.

(3) Firefighter Apparatus and Equipment Familiarization was the repacking of fire suppression hose lines on the apparatus.
