Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 34670-34693 Ringbolt Av Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, September 1^st, the Indian River, Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and Sussex County Paramedics were alerted for a vehicle accident on Ringbolt Avenue in the Pot Nets Bayside development.   It was reported to be overturned golf cart with juvenile occupants and battery acid leaking from the cart next to the pond area.   Additional emergency alerts included the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, notification of parental parties, fluid and debris recovery where applicable, traffic control and scene access control.

It appears that a golf cart was traversing the golf cart path and overturned, possibility injuring two juvenile occupants. EMS personnel were attending to the injured occupants.  The aviation unit was cancelled.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and scene access limitation during the remainder of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
