Story

Indian River Pursues Renovations During Pandemic

During this pandemic and State of Emergency Shut Down has caused many businesses to change their standard order of business and some businesses have used this time to remodel and renovate.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to identify that it has been taking advantage of downtime to renovate and reset to better serve its customers and the community during our buffet breakfast and dinner events as well as hall rentals and other caterings.

Initially, our project has involved flooring renovations at Station #1 in Oak Orchard with complete flooring changes. These initiatives will be updated to included facilities painting and some plumbing changes at both Station #1 (Oak Orchard) and Station #2 in Long Neck.  Previously, Indian River pursued kitchen floor renovations which can be viewed at http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail/38729?ss=1.  All flooring renovations were coordinated by Slide-Lok of Harbeson, Delaware.

Additionally, much progress has been made with permitting and design authorization for entire structural renovations at Station #2.

The next phase of the renovations will be interior and exterior painting of both facilities.

Indian River loves to being a part of this community and our customers are fantastic and we hope to be around for years to come providing both breakfast buffet and dinners events.

Illustrated herewith are photographs of the flooring renovations during these efforts.
