Emergency Incident Synopsis - Indian River Fire District

 

Over the last several days (weekend of 6/26/2020 thru 06/29/2020), the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has been alerted for numerous calls, including but not limited to; a gas leak, automatic alarms, structure fires, and a vehicle accident.

Illustrated herewith is a brief review of the alarms that have not been fully published with our incident synopsis:

  • Friday- AFA: 22000 block of Dozer Lane - False alarm (contractors working with dry wall);

  • Friday- AFA: 33000 block of Spinners Circle in The Peninsula - False alarm;

  • Friday- Gas leak: 23000 block of Devonshire Way in Victoria’s Landing - active gas leak secured and shut off. Utility service provider company notified to make necessary repairs;

  • Friday- Structure Fire: 26000 block John J Williams Hwy- malfunction of a boiler (incident reported) - http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail?id=39698;

  • Saturday- Vehicle accident: Sloop Ave and Rowlock Place Pot Nets Bayside - patient ejected from a golf cart. 1 patient transported to nearby medical facilities;

  • Sunday- Structure Fire: 32000 block of Molly Field Rd - 1 engine standby at Millsboro Fire Co Station 83 (incident reported) - http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail?id=39697;

  • Sunday- AFA upgraded to structure fire: 35000 block of 5th St. in Bay City - apparent electrical malfunction (incident reported) - http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail?id=39700;

  • Sunday- AFA: 33000 block of Islander Dr. in The Peninsula - false alarm; and

  • Monday- Service Call: 34000 block of Sea Waye Ln. in Rehoboth Shores - child locked in an automobile.  Vehicle not running.
