The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company implements and encourages the utilization of File of Life informational template to enhance our fire district’s residential population with essential tools for information sharing to assist them in times of need.

The File of Life emphasizes that everyone should receive prompt, quality medical care, especially when it matters most, especially in an emergency. The File of Life packet is designed to make a difference by providing vital information to first responders.

The File of Life format is modeled to be easy for residents to use and be recognized by local First Responders. The File of Life strives to maintain an open dialogue with communities and residents across America to provide the most up-to-date information possible.  The File of Life is a magnet pouch that can be place on the refrigerator with information sheets that would have person's pertinent information about medical history.

Together, everyone can improve transfer information during an emergency and provide peace of mind for the most vulnerable individuals and their loved ones and save countless lives during times of need.
