Fire Prevention Day in Rehoboth Beach around the Bandstand - Sunday, 10/06/2024 @ 9 a. - 1 p.
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company will host its Annual Fire Prevention Day commencing 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6th at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. All ages were welcome to attend.
This event will host emergency first responders from throughout Sussex County and you will be able to see fire trucks, firefighters, personal watercraft used for water rescues, police officers, EMTs and many more public servants who work hard every day to help keep individuals and families safe. Anyone interested in joining the fire company or another local company including auxiliaries are encouraged to stop by and talk to any member at any respective fire company booth.
Service providers will include members of the Sussex County Emergency Medical Services; fire companies from Indian River, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach Police Department, and more.
The 2024 Fire Prevention Theme is ‘Smoke alarms: make them work for you!’ This year’s focus on working smoke alarms comes in response to NFPA data, which shows that the majority of U.S. home fire deaths continue to occur in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.
Please stop by and join us.
