‍Happy Nurses Week – 2021

Date:  May 6^th thru May 12^th

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company offers these words of acknowledgement and recognition of persons in the nursing profession -- for what they do for their communities all around the universe.  This week is a designated time to recognize, appreciate, and invest in the nurses that we know or work with every day, as well as the entire nursing profession.

As we witness the traditional nursing professionals expand their scope, we must highlight their resilience and identify that we all depend on their ability to deal with the designated situation.  We depend on the nurses’ conviction, no matter the circumstances, to treat us every day with their clinical excellence but also to deliver that care with compassion.  As these nurses are on the frontline of getting us through this pandemic, we must shore up their resilience with our gratitude.

The gratitude we show them is a constant reminder that they are making a difference — a difference they may not realize they are making while in the throes of overloaded facilities, overburden personnel, and too few resources.

Words of encouragement is what nurses need to hear during these times!  Nurses are more deserving than ever of our support, respect, and appreciation!
