Nature: Fire Alarm Sounding – Multi Residential Structure

On Monday, October 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding in a multi-unit residential structure on Blue Crab Avenue in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be detectors within the residential structure sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 and Traffic Control 80 from the Long Neck facility and Utility 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation of the residential property.  It was identified to be faulty detectors.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their quarters upon compilation of their assignments.
