Nature: Wires Down/Arcing - Cordrey Road
Location: Cordrey Rd and William Stre , 19966

On Thursday, September 24th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted an electrical hazard with wires down or arcing on Cordrey Road near William Street Road. 

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Duty Officer 80, Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility, Utility 80-8 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments identified that wire down incident was cable television wiring, providing the utility pole identification number, cleared the wire from the roadway and cancelled all responding emergency response apparatus. 

It appears that cable television wiring become dislodged and fell into the roadway causing concern.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic during this incident.

The respective utility service provided was notified and will respond accordingly.
