Nature: Fire Police Assist – Vehicle Accident – Property Damage

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Road, 19966

On Monday afternoon, September 14th, the Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to assist with traffic control for a property damage vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and entrance to Back Bay Shopping Center.

Emergency response assistance was provided by Deputy 80 and Utility 80 for fluid and debris clean up pending arrival of the Delaware State Police.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a white Honda mini-van and blue Mazda SUV collided in the area of the entrance to the Back Bay Plaza just west of Bay Farm Road.  The were not any occupant injuries.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their quarters upon compilation of their assignments.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
