Nature: Automatic Crash Notification - Upgraded to MVC – John J. Williams Highway

On Saturday, September 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic crash notification that was updated to a motor vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway.   It was identified to be a two vehicle rear-end type collision on John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility; Incident Command 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that white Nissan Rouge SUV struck the rear of a tan Mercury MKZ sedan causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control assistance within the development.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return after consultation with the home occupants.
