For Richard, some of his most memorable moments have come through fire prevention programs at Long Neck Elementary School. Connecting with local children and helping teach them about fire safety is a reminder that being a firefighter isn't only about responding to emergencies—it's also about preventing them.

Richard has been a supportive and dependable volunteer with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company since joining Station 80. He is always willing to perform and help wherever needed, and his dedication has been especially valuable to our community service efforts. Through fire prevention, public education, and his willingness to lend a hand, Richard continues to demonstrate that there are many ways to make a difference as a volunteer.
