Nature: Elevator Rescue

On Saturday, August 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an elevator rescue incident on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a person stuck in the elevator.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and size up, mitigation efforts, etc.

It appears that person was stuck in the elevator car and needed assistance. The person was freed from the elevator upon arrival of emergency response resources.

After evaluation and consultation, all emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
