Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential – Bay City

Location: 25895 South Cherry St , 19966

On Saturday evening, August 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm in a residential location on South Cherry Street in the Bay City development off Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a automatic fire alarms sounding in the residential structure.

Emergency response units included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard area and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews identified completed an exterior residential evaluation and commenced with an interior evaluation consulting with the home occupants.  It was determined to be a detector issue.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control during the incident.

All units were authorized to return or remain in quarters.
