Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 31738 Indian Mission Rd, 19966

On Thursday, July 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Indian Mission Road in the vicinity of Friendship Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, incident mitigation, and fire suppression activities.

It appears that a blue Hyundai Sonata sedan was traveling on Indian Mission Road and was smoking, pulled over and caught fire.  Upon arrival of emergency apparatus, it was fully involved.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the complete closure of this segment of Indian Mission Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
