Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J. Williams Highway, 19966

On Sunday, July 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road and John J. Williams Highway for a minor vehicle accident with possibility of two persons desiring EMS evaluation.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, and traffic control for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a blue Jeep Cherokee was struck from the rear by a black Chevrolet Camaro causing damage to both vehicles.  An additional EMS unit was requested from Millsboro EMS.  Two persons were transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
