On Wednesday evening, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosed the Delaware State Fire School (DSFS) to coordinate and provide instructional support services for a Firefighter Self-Survival, May-day & Disentanglement course to review and practice the tactics, skills, and strategies that can be used by a firefighter who find themselves experiencing an emergency.

The training highlighted and covered Risk Reduction, Personal Evacuation/Exiting Strategies, Air Management, and Survival Strategies.  Practical evolutions included evolutions to re-enforce the training curriculum and props from the mobile training facility.
