Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential

Location: 22193 Thomas Jefferson Terrace Patriots Glen, DE 19966

On Friday, June 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was were alerted for an automatic alarm sounding in a residential location on Thomas Jefferson Terrace in the Patriots Glen development off John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  The Delaware State Fire Police assisted as well.

Emergency response crews completed an initial 360 exterior evaluation and commenced additional external reviews and could identify no visible issues within the residential structure and did identify a smoke detector that was of significant concern.  The incident was reviewed with the property owner for corrective action. 

The incident was placed under control and all units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
