Nature: Structure Fire

On Tuesday morning, June 2^nd, the Indian River (80) and Dagsboro (73) fire companies were alerted to assist Millsboro (83) Fire Company with a structure fire incident on Holly Leak Drive in the Holly Leaf Estates development off Zoar Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Millsboro EMS units as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  It was reported to be an electrical issue because the occupants heard a pop and then smelled something.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial 360 exterior evaluation as well as an interior evaluation and identified nothing evident from all sides with utilities located on the “D” delta side. Crews continued with an interior evaluation

The occupants were advised that the utility service provider was contacted for additional evaluation and that they may desire to have an electrical evaluation.

All emergency response units were authorized to clear the assignment.
