Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Townsend Rd and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

ON Monday afternoon, June 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Mount Joy Road at the Townsend Road intersection.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Millsboro EMS and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be a two vehicle accident with injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white GMC Sierra Pick Up and a white Telsa collided causing damage and injuries.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Mount Joy Road offering a temporary detour.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
