Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Cannon Rd and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, May 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Cannon Road east of Mount Joy Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported that a single vehicle accident involving possibly one patient.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a marron Toyota Corolla was traveling on Cannon Road and left the roadway striking a tree.  The vehicle sustained significant front end damage with airbag deployment.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
