Nature: Medical Emergency – Landing Zone Assignment

On Sunday evening, April 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad with a medical emergency incident with a landing zone assignment. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2.

The fire department medical assist assignment involves a team of trained firefighters who respond to calls to assist individuals who have fallen and need assistance.
