Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Banks Rd and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday afternoon, April 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road east of Long Neck Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into the trees off Banks Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a white pick up was traveling on Banks Road and left the roadway striking a cluster of trees.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Banks Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
