Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Multi Residential Structure

Address:  25927 River Bend Road., Apt #600, Millsboro

On Friday, April 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm in a multi-residential complex.  It appears that the multi residential structure was encountered an alarm system malfunction with the 600 Building.  It was determined to be a water flow issue within the sprinkler system mechanical room.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Chief 80 and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and investigation, obtain Knox Box keys from the designated location, assist with mitigation efforts.

It appears that a sprinkler system mechanical room has a fire suppression system is with a water flow concern. After evaluation, it was determined that the maintenance personnel needed to respond.

All emergency fire response apparatus were authorized to clear the incident.
