Nature: AFA – Fire Alarm – Commercial Structure – Dollar General

Location: 26012 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, March 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm within a commercial structure on John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm within the Dollar General complex.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80 and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews completed an initial evaluation and identified a pull station activation before cancelling the alarm. Tower 80 was cancelled while responding.

Chief 80 performed the initial assessment and identified the concern as well as cancelling the alarm.

All emergency response units were permitted to cancel and return to their respective quarters.
