Nature: Service Call-Fire
Location: 24316 Canal Dr Short Hills, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, February 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a service call type fire incident on Canal Drive in the Short Hills development. It was reported to be a tree fell into the house. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 and Utility 80-11 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews completed an initial 360 exterior evaluation and advised a medium sized tree into a residential structure with a hole in the wall with exposed electrical wiring. 

Personnel assisted with homeowners where possible. The homeowners was apprised to coordinated with respective contractors for immediate repair.

All emergency response apparatus were able to clear and return to their stations.
