Nature: Brush Fire – Assist Millsboro (83) Fire Company

Location: Corners of Zoar and Lawson Roads 

Address: 24050-24301 Lawson Rd Georgetown, DE 19947

On Friday, February 13^th, the Indian River (80) and Georgetown (77) were alerted to assist the Millsboro (83) Fire Company with a brush fire in the area of Zoar Road near Lawson Road.  It was reported to a fire in the wooded area and you could see smoke from the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Brush 80 and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments were to offer assistance with hard to access area and fire suppression assistance where needed.

This incident was located within the fire district of the Millsboro Fire Company and there may be additional public communications from their respective public information officer.

The Delaware State Fire Police offered assistance as needed for the incident.
