Nature: Automatic Fire Alarms - Commercial Structure

On Wednesday afternoon, February 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at a multi-residential apartment building on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula development off Bay Road.  It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews were responding to the incident location and cancelled while responding. 

It was determined that the maintenance personnel were working (repairing) the system and provided the proper passcore.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
