Nature: Fire Alarm Sounding – Multi Residential Structure

Location: 27546 Mayfield Rd Victorias Landing, DE 19966

On Sunday morning, February 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding at a multi-residential townhouse building on Mayfield Road Drive in the Victoria’s Landing development off John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a fire alarm sounding is a residential unit.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation and initial interior evaluation after substantial efforts to can access.

It was determined that the fire alarm sounding was the result of a faulty detector.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
