Nature: Structure Fire - Garage (Unattached)

On Friday, February 6^th, the Indian River (80), Millsboro (83) and Lewes (82) fire departments were alerted for an unattached garage type structure on Friendship Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be garage fire. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Chief 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial exterior evaluation and commencement with an interior suppression assignment.  Initial responders found a smoke condition coming from the structure.

It was determined that combustible materials caught fire under a table which were taken outside and extinguished.  Crews were utilized to assist with suppression and ventilation.  Other emergency response units were cancelled as the incident was downgraded to units already on location.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
