Nature: Residential Fire Alarm Sounding – Creeks End

Location: 168 Teal Dr Creeks End, DE 19966

On Monday morning, February 2nd, the Indian River and Lewes fire companies were alerted for a fire alarm sounding within a residential structure on Teal Drive in the Creeks End development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be all fire alarms sounding within the structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Utility 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation of the structure.

It was reported that the alarm sounding incident was the result of an outdated and faulty detector.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
