Indian River’s Brush 80-0 recommissioned as Milton's Brush 85-8

The Milton (85) Fire Department recently acquired a brush truck, formerly known as Brush 80-0, which was previously owned and operated by the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company announced the sale of Brush 80-0, described as a 1999 Ford F250 Crew Cab, in May 2025. The Milton Fire Department then purchased this unit, and it has re-commissioned the unit which will operate as Brush 85-8 within the Milton fire district.

This acquisition is part of the Milton Fire Department's efforts to expand and update its apparatus fleet, including a previous acquisition of a new ambulance. Illustrated herewith are some photographs and information regarding the unit.
