Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Location

Location: 34263 Piney Crest Lane Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, May 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Piney Crest Lane in the Pot Nets Bayside development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported that the smoke detector activation in the crawl space area.

Emergency response units included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation before cancelling the incident response and determining a faulty detector was the issue.

All apparatus were on location of the incident location and discussed the concern with the homeowner before cancelling the emergency incident.

All units were cancelled and returned.
