Nature: Outside Fire
Location: 34225 Colony Dr S Pot Nets Creekside, DE 19966
On Friday, April 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire on Colony Drive South in the Pot Nets Creekside development off Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a small fire under a tree and with the wind blowing they were concerned.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facilty and Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included an evaluation and saturation to ensure that the area was wet to prevent any further spread of the impacted area.
The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic directions for the duration of the incident.
