Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure

Location: 113 Crazy Horse Trl., Indian Summer Village, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, January 31st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident at a residence on Crazy Horse Trail in the Indian Summer Village development off of John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm sounding at the residential location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were provided an incident update while responding and upon arrival of emergency response units discussed with the residential occupants before cancelling the call.  It was an accidental activation.

All responding apparatus was cancelled before arrival at the incident location.
