Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: Weis Market (80) (Nanticoke Crossing (80))

On December 3^rd while returning from a previous alarm, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a commercial fire alarm sounding at the Weis Market at Nanticoke Crossing.  It was reported that a sprinkler and water flow alarm were sounding.

Emergency response unit from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew performed an initial exterior evaluation and immediately identified that an alarm contractor was on location.

The incident was identified as an alarm contractor on location testing the fire alarm system.  After discussion, all emergency response units were authorized to return to their quarters.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
