Nature: Residential Rescue

Location: 16232 John Adams Lane Patriots Glen, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, October 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential rescue incident on John Adams Lane in the Patriots Glen development off John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to a be 1-year old child stuck inside the bathroom and the parents could not get in because the bathroom door would not open.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crews assisted the resident with gaining access to the bathroom facility.   Rescue 80 cancelled all other responding apparatus.

It appears that a cabinet door was opened inside the bathroom preventing the bathroom door for opening.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
