Nature: Outside Fire

Location: Oak Meadow Dr and Briar Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday evening, May 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire in the Oak Meadows development off Oak Orchard Road.  It was reported to be a fire involving a streetlight.

Emergency response units were limited to the first arriving unit – Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and all other responding units from the Long Neck facility were cancelled when responding.

Emergency response crews evaluated the incident, notified the utility service provider of the street light pole number, allowed the electrical circuit to blow and requested the provider to respond for repairs to the streetlight.

All units were authorized to clear and return to their respective quarters.

The Delaware State Police were on location prior to the arrival of emergency response apparatus.
