Nature: Structure Fire – Assist Rehoboth Beach (86)

Location: 107 Blackpool Rd Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club, DE 19971

On Wednesday evening, May 20th, the Indian River (80), Bethany Beach (70), Lewes (82), Milton (85), Millville (84) and Memorial (89) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) Fire Company with a residential structure on Blackppol Road in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club.  Additional emergency alerts include the Sussex County Paramedics and nearby mutual aid companies including but not limited to:  Millsboro (83) and Georgetown (77) fire companies to perform designated assignments.  It was reported to be the air conditioning unit and could smoke and fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments were to assist Rehoboth Beach with fire suppression assignments as needed, manpower pool, and all other fire ground operations as delegated.

The Sussex County Paramedics were present at the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and scene access limitations as needed.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
