Nature: Residential Rescue – Extrication / Entrapment

Address: 24760 Rivers Edge Road, Stonewater Creek

On Friday afternoon, May 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential rescue incident involving entrapment with an arm stuck in a gate.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and Millsboro EMS. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Squad 80 from the Long Neck area.

Emergency response crew assignments assisted with patient stabilization and extrication as needed.

It appears that a person’s arm was struck in a gate at the residential location.

The emergency incident assignment was reduced to specific apparatus while waiting for the EMS units to arrive for evaluation.
