Nature: MVC – BLS – ITAO Long Neck Road / Oyster Road

On Saturday afternoon, March 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road between Fairfield and Paradise Cove.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be single vehicle accident off the road and hitting a utility pole. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a black Lincoln MKX was traveling on Long Neck Road and left the roadway striking a utility pole causing injury and damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
