Nature: AFA – Residential Fire Alarm – Second Alarm in District

Address: 27816 Hatteras Drive, Pelican Point

On Sunday afternoon, March 15^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm in a residential structure on Hatteras Drive in the Pelican Point development off Cannon Road.  It was reported to be a living room detector activation.  This was a second alarm within the fire district.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80, Engine 80 and Brush 80 from a previous incident in the Long Neck community as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response units were advised of the incident synopsis and while traveling to the incident location a second call back advised that everything was okay, proper passcode provided and culinary mishap wishing to cancel.

The emergency response units were cancelled and authorized to return to quarters.
