Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure

Location: 33905 Sea Otter Way Pelican Point, DE 19966

On Thursday, January 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm (AFA) sounding within a residential structure on Sea Otter Way in the Pelican Point development off Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to an AFA - Smoke Detector alarm.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews continued to the residential structure to discuss with the residential occupants.

It was reported that the alarm sounding incident was the result of a culinary mishap with proper password information provided.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
