On Friday, January 9^th, personnel from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated its annual fire truck pump testing and certification process at the Oak Orchard facility.

This fire truck pump testing certification involves rigorous annual testing of the pump system's performance, flow, and pressure, mandated by NFPA 1901, performed by certified technicians or manufacturers to ensure safety and readiness, with results documented on a plate on the pump panel and often requiring specialized training for inspectors and operators. Certifications validate the pump meets standards for performance under various conditions, covering static/hydrostatic tests, flow tests, priming tests, and engine overload tests, providing peace of mind and proving compliance for insurance and operational needs.
