Nature: Service Call – Water Pipe Break Inside Residential Unit

Location: 33571 Windswept Dr., The Peninsula, DE 19966

Early Wednesday, December 31^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a service call incident involving a water leak inside a residential unit on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula off Bay Farm Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 and Chief80-15 from the Oak Orchard area and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response personnel assisted with gaining access and helping where needed in order to ensure mitigation efforts were initiated for the residential unit.

It was identified that a water pipe leak was prevalent within the residential unit and residents exhausted all efforts to notify the property management personnel for the complex.
