On Wednesday evening, December 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential an alarm sounding incident on Haley Court in the Baylis development off Mount Joy Road. It was reported to be an alarm sounding in the upstairs area of the residence.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were able to make contact with the residential occupants and identified a culinary mishap prior to arrival and the homeowner was attempting to cancel.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
