Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Oak Orchard Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, November 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Millsboro EMS units were notified of a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle accident unknown at the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Command 80, Utility 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were apprised to coordinate traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, patient stabilization where needed, vehicle stabilization, and overall included mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Dodge Durango and black Mercedes Benz sedan collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road.  Both vehicles were rendered inoperable and the intersection had limited traffic mobility during the incident mitigation phase.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
